Damage from Sew-In Extensions

Before                             After

Damage from Sew-In Extensions

PROBLEM: This is an example of damage from extensions that were sewn into the hair. They were applied to very fine thin hair to make it look thicker. The client’s hair grew very slowly therefore she did not want to cut it. Several weeks after wearing the sewn-in extensions, the client had broken, damaged hair and it had become much thinner.

SOLUTION:

  • Repair the Damage (split ends, elasticity, porosity); A repair treatment, REZZ A RECT was applied to deeply cleansed hair and processed according to directions.
  • Hair was then tested for strength and porosity. Watch video to view test done on the hair before and after the repair treatment.
  • The hair passed the test. It was dried and combed out and sectioned off.
  • The new hot heads extensions were then applied to larger strips of hair. These extensions distribute the weight of the extension more evenly on more of the baby fine hair. That ensures that less added weight not cause hair loss.
  • The scalp was then treated with STIMULANT Repair Treatment according to directions. The STIMULANT scalp treatment stops the hair from coming out at the root and breaking off on the ends. It creates a healthy pH on the scalp, stimulates the follicle and makes the hair grow faster.
  • Hair was finished with a style using blow dryer and brush.

How to Keep Red Color from Fading

Natalie does her own hair color and knows how to keep it from fading.

Red hair color is the easiest and quickest to fade. That is because the red color molecule is the largest of all hair color molecules.
  • The best preventive tip to make red color last longer is to shampoo and rinse in cool water. It is like washing your bright color laundry in cool water. The hot water open the cuticle allowing the red pigment to be shampooed out faster.
  • Always us a color-safe shampoo.
  • After processing red hair color, rinse thoroughly with warm water until it runs clear before applying shampoo.
  • After shampooing and rinsing, Apply a solution of 1 cup of warm water containing 2 oz of white vinegar. Work it throughout the hair and process it 10 minutes. Rinse it from hair with warm water. Final rinse with cool water.
